How to apply nail wraps?
Like all girls, we at Hello Curve love having picture perfect nails! However, thinking of the cost and time involved at the nail salon, many of us super busy gals give up. Thankfully, it doesn't always have to be this way! Hello Curve is introducing a new manicure item you will love (and probably prioritize over salon visits!). It is none other than the tiny but mighty nail wraps!
What are nail wraps?
Nail wraps are basically stickers shaped in the shape of your nails. They are made of a special material, so they are able to look translucent (so you get partially see-through nail designs too) and are able to stick on to your nails well. As the name suggests, you wrap your nails with the stickers for a manicured look.
Perks of nail wraps
As nail wraps are printed, this means there is no possibility of errors with shaky human hands. It also means that you can have very elaborate nail designs without needing to pay salon prices! Also, there is no downtime (as with the familiar couple of hours at the nail salon) since there is no drying time needed for stickers! Best of all, nail stickers are healthier as they aren't as intrusive as nail polish nor nail acrylic. It is easily removable.
How to apply nail wraps?
1. Clean your hands!
The residue of moisturizer, sunscreen or anything on your hands and nails can make it harder for the adhesive to stick on your nails so give your hands a good wash or wipe with an alcohol wipe before starting.
2. Match your nail to the nail wrap size
Bring the nail wrap close to your nail and compare visually which nail wrap fits your finger size best.
3. Peel off nail wrap
Peel off the wrap from the top side.
4. Press the nail wrap onto your nail
Place the wrap at your cuticle and push down from there.
Use a circular motion to press the wrap into place. To get the wrap on your nail without any wrinkles, you can pull and stretch the nail sticker a little.
5. File off the excess length
File only in a downward motion.
6. Apply a top coat
There you go! It's as easy as that to get picture perfect and detailed nails. And we bet you did not take anything close to 10 minutes. Are you a Hello Curve nail wrap convert yet?
Bonus Tip: How to remove nail wraps?
Method 1: Soak your fingers in warm water for a period of 8-10 minutes and peel off the nail wrap.
Method 2: Soak nail wraps in nail polish remover for 20 seconds and gently rub them off. Soaking breaks down the adhesive in the wrap and allows them to slife off easily.
